Dr. Z is a 1998 graduate from the New York Chiropractic College, where he obtained his Doctor of Chiropractic. He founded and opened Universal Chiropractic in 2004. Dr. Z specializes in the treatment of spinal disc injuries. He is certified in the Koren Technique (2007), Kennedy Decompression Technique (2008), the Neuromechanical Technique (2009) and the Whitten Technique (2014). Dr. Z utilizes low force adjusting techniques, postural correction techniques, full spine and full body strengthening programs, as well as nutritional consults.
Marshall Dornink, D.C.
Dr. Dornink received his Bachelor’s of Science degree in Exercise and Sport Science from UW-La Crosse in 2003, his Master’s degree in Kinesiology/Sport Psychology from the University of North Dakota in 2006 and his Doctorate of Chiropractic degree from D’Youville College in 2014.
Dr. Dornink is a Certified Athletic Trainer and Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Prior to graduating from D’Youville College he worked as an Athletic Trainer at SUNY-Binghamton, where he cared for the Division I athletes on the Volleyball, Wrestling and Swimming/Diving teams. He has also worked as a personal trainer for the past 5 years working with a variety of clients and athletes and believes that improving strength and stability in the muscles that act on the spine can be a key component of better spine health. He is also certified in the Graston® technique.
When not working he enjoys strength training and has competed as a power lifter and strongman.
Alana Flitt, D.C.
Dr. Alana received her Bachelor’s of Science degree in biology in 2009 from SUNY Fredonia and her Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 2013 from D’Youville College.
She is certified in Graston® Technique, an innovative form of instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization that is used to break down scar tissue or fascial and muscle restrictions.
Dr. Alana also has a special interest in treating expectant mothers and pediatric patients. She is a member of the International Chiropractic Pediatric Association (ICPA) and is certified in the Webster Technique, which has exceptional benefits for pregnant women. She strongly believes that chiropractic treatment of children, in addition to helping to reduce pain, can help promote wellness, reducing illness and encouraging optimal health, putting a child on the right path for health and wellness into adulthood. She regularly adjusts her son.
Tarah M. Wetherby, DC
Dr. Tarah received her Bachelor of Science degree from SUNY Brockport in 2009 and her Doctorate of Chiropractic from D’Youville College in 2013. After graduation, she relocated to Pittsburgh to begin her career, and in 2014 she returned to Buffalo to continue chiropractic care and be closer to friends and family. Dr. Tarah enjoys treating patients of all ages and is committed to making Buffalo healthier by educating patients of the importance of spinal health and chiropractic care.
Dr. Tarah is also certified in the Graston Technique®.
Brian Huck, D.C.
Dr. Brian Huck grew up in Rochester, NY. He has lived with his wife and three sons in the South Buffalo Community for over 20 years. He earned his Bachelor’s of Exercise Physiology from SUNY Buffalo in 1990 and his Doctor of Chiropractic from NYCC in 1995.
Dr. Huck was in private practice in Western New York for over 12 years, operated his own medical sales company working with surgeons and has provided chiropractic care and ergonomic training to the employees of General Mills for many years. When he is not in the office he enjoys exercise, reading, soccer, and time with his friends and family.
His focus over the years and now has been a belief in total wellness. He utilizes chiropractic care, exercise, and nutrition to meet the needs of the patient. He utilizes multiple techniques including adjustments, Graston Technique, myofascial release, decompression, and rehabilitation exercises. He believes patient care can go even further then the adjustment. Combining all these methods and beliefs together helps him to achieve the best care for each individual patient.
Christina Summerville, PT
Christina Summerville graduated from the SUNY at Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 1995. She is a second degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Christina became interested in treating trigger points when she experienced chronic pain herself while in her mid 30’s. She studied trigger point massage independently through book study and taking a course in NYC. This was her first step in becoming free from chronic pain. Since then she has become the only MELT Method® Instructor in WNY and is one of three certified Yoga Tune Up® Instructors in WNY.
Theresa M. Weiskerger, LMT
Theresa is a licensed massage therapist. She obtained her degree and licensure from the New York Institute of Massage in 2003. Theresa practices Swedish, Deep tissue, Hot stone, Sports and Medical massage techniques.
Patty is a Licensed Massage Therapist. She has a strong passion for massage and healing. A Trocaire College graduate, Patty has been practicing Massage Therapy for over 11 years. A graduate of Villa Maria College with a degree in Physical Therapist Assistant, she has been licensed for over 16 years. Both medical backgrounds help her to incorporate specific techniques to customize your massage experience to your special needs. Due to her strong hands, Patty’s specialty in Deep Tissue Massage has proven to help clients over her career with neck and back injuries.
